#AtoZChallenge Day 23: W

W

“W  is for Winnie, embedded in ice…”  So what was she doing, ice skating and went out to far, the ice was too thin and broke and she fell through?  They couldn’t get her pulled out in time, so by the time they finally did she was encased in a block of ice like that so-called “cave man” in that Scooby Doo episode?  I know it doesn’t take very long to freeze once you’ve fallen through ice, but come on, really?  This is slightly more realistic than some of the others, because at least it could feasibly happen, but at the same time how many people are going to be going anywhere near a frozen lake or other body of water and not take emergency supplies with them, just in case?  At least they could have had a rope or bungee cord or something in their vehicle that they could have tied around the bumper or tow bar, if there was one, and used the other end to pull her out with once they found her.  Of course that would mean diving in after her with the rope tied around themselves and risking drowning themselves to rescue her, but what are friends for, right?

  1. Friends are the best thing you carry with you when you are planning for a skate date on a frozen lake!

Maybe she fell into an underground ice cave, and then more ice grew around her… (obviously, I have no idea haha). 😛
