Review of Hyde by Becca Fanning

It finally happened!  After all the times the other guys have brought a female onboard and Hyde’s immediate suggestion was to shove her out an airlock, Hyde himself has finally done the exact same thing, brought a female onboard who needs the crew’s help.  So naturally the first thing they do is take the mickey out of him about it, for about a half hour straight.  This will give them something to tease him mercilessly about for ages to come, and they’re all thrilled.

Talia is a journalist who wants to do a story on Hyde, detailing the frame job done on him on Serkot, exposing the scheme in order to clear his name.  Hyde’s not too keen on the idea at first, but since Talia now has a target on her back thanks to the story, Hyde and the Breakwater crew have promised to protect her, especially since Hyde is now a target too.  It looks like they’ve found their net permanent crew member…

Hyde is going to be on the receiving end of the rest of the crew’s teasing for quite some time, but he doesn’t care.  He’s finally found the one person in the universe he wants to be with, and it doesn’t take much to make her part of the Breakwater family, especially after Zosha’s friend Spider pulls some strings and gets a list of hundreds of media outlets willing to run her story to Zosha, which Annie sends her tablet so that she can publish her article as soon as it’s done.  Once she hits send, the story starts going viral, and the truth is finally out there.  Finally receiving the vindication he’s always looked for, only one thing can make the day better…

I can’t think of a better way to round out the Breakwater crew than by adding Thalia.  This installment is definitely worth the read!

I was given a free ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review.
