“I can’t believe you arrested him out of spite.”
“I had probably cause,” Harry argued.
“Yes, but mostly spite,” Hermione countered.
“No, spite would be just because he’s a Malfoy, or an evil git, or a prat… I arrested him because he had Dark artifacts in his house. If they’re his, he’ll do time in Azkaban. If they’re his father’s and he knew they were there, he’ll still do time, just not as much. If he didn’t know they were there, he’ll be released and the time will be added to his father’s sentence. But until he’s questioned under veritaserum, we won’t know for sure. In the meantime, he stays right where he is.”
“Fine. But you’d better hope this doesn’t come back to bite you in the arse later.”
“It won’t. You worry too much, ’Mione. Trust me, it’ll be fine,” Harry assured her.
