#AtoZChallenge Day 18: R

“R is for Rhoda, consumed by a fire.”  Was she playing with matches or something?  Was she learning that fire-breathing trick Xena used to do and it backfired on her (no pun intended)?  Did their house catch on fire and the flames got to her before the firefighters could?  Just what was going on that she was anywhere near open flames?  Was she out camping and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows and got too close to the campfire?  Did she trip, or was she pushed into it (either accidentally or on purpose)?  People need to invest in fire extinguishers and start keeping them close at hand!  That, and teaching fire safety to whatever children they have left, to make sure this doesn’t happen again.  Having fire alarms and smoke detectors in the house would probably help in future, as well as making sure they have at least two escape routes planned out in advance in case of any type of home emergency, whether it be fire or tornado or whatever.
