#AtoZChallenge Day 7: G


“G is for George, smothered under a rug…”  Why was George under a rug to begin with?  Did he drop a galleon or something that rolled under there?  Or was that where he and Fred kept their stash of joke products at the Burrow, and he crawled under there to dig them out, mindful of his mum’s objections to he and Fred using their wands unnecessarily?  And then of course he wasn’t paying attention and the rug rolled right back over him, squishing him flat.  At least he and Fred are together again…

Or maybe it was a trap laid by the government to stop Orwell from writing any more of his eerily accurate books of the future?  That one wouldn’t surprise me, actually, considering some of the things the government has done in the name of the “greater good” (which basically just means what’s good for them).  Hmm, suddenly I’m in the mood to read 1984
